Artificial intelligence is gaining traction across the multifamily industry as owners and operators use it to analyze deals, identify acquisitions, streamline operations, and organize company knowledge.
Security Properties, for example, developed an AI-powered underwriting platform that can produce a baseline investment model in minutes instead of days. Bonaventure uses AI as a "company brain" to capture meeting insights, analyze property data, flag operational issues, and identify potential acquisition opportunities.
Camden Property Trust is also exploring AI for predictive applications, including identifying potential insurance claims and anticipating when major property systems may need maintenance.
While AI is changing how multifamily companies work, industry executives emphasize that the goal is not to replace employees. Instead, operators are using the technology to improve efficiency, strengthen decision-making, and allow teams to focus on higher-value work.
